What kind of campground doesn't offer propane in a town that only has one other option to fill? The atmosphere is nice but our lot was covered in garbage and there were kids screaming all evening until 11pm. The pools were NOT heated as advertised and the wifi is spotty at best even if located near the routers. Also wasn't allowed to bring my dog because of vaccines not up to date but there was a dog barking all night and the front desk didn't care. Won't be going back!
If you need a cheap place to camp and don't care about noise or friendly staff, then you will like this place.
Both bathrooms we used were out of soap, if they are not going to fill the soap dispensers they should just remove them. We went to one of the craft times, I could not believe the person running the craft seemed more concerned that no one took more than two cotton balls then doing the craft. She did not demonstrate the craft, so most of the kids had no clue what to do.
The campground us just ok. The staff are not friendly, but not rude, just outspoken and not very helpful. There was very loud parties Friday night late (until 2AM). Both mornings we were woke up by dogs barking around 6 AM. When we arrived there was already someone using about half of our assigned site. I went back to the front gate and was told "I don't have anything to do with sites, you need to go to the office." I went to the office and was told I should tell the other people to move. I politely said if the campground wanted to do that they can or we would be happy to get another site. We did get another site, but the woman helping me was complaining how giving me a new site doesn't solve the issue of people camping on the wrong site.
Also we were visiting family in the area, it was frustrating if we invited them over to our campsite, the front gate would have charged them $5.50/person to get into the campground.
UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE AND HAVE YOUR STAFF MEMBERS STATE THERE ARE NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE CABINS WHEN SOMEONE BOOKS A CABIN. Teach your staff customer service (common sense).
Kids love going here. Has alot of activities to keep the kids busy and a nice size pool and splash pad.
Only gave 1* as staff member was rude. The cabin itself and the activities for kids would have rated 4* but rented a deluxe cabin and no where on the website does it mention cannot have a dog in the cabin. When called the resort to book the cabin the staff member did not mention no dogs. The website states "dog friendly". It is only dog friendly if you rent a campsite. Then the very rude staff member advised us we could not have the key to the cabin until the dog left the park. We had a 4 lb dog with us. We needed to unpack and make other arrangements for the dog. This person was very unsympathetic to our situation and made like we should have known ahead of time we could not have a dog in the cabin. One staff member suggested we rent a campsite and tie the dog up there (so the 40 lb dogs allowed on campsite could eat it?).
It's a great place to bring the kids and camp. If your looking just to visit someone camping be prepared to pay. My wife and I and 3 children payed almost $30 just to visit. To me that's a bit extreme. $10 per car load would be fair.
Also, the fire pit was full of flies and rotten food plus their were water bottles and garbage left from the previous renter. When leaving accused of stealing a dollar store can opener.
